Local lawmakers to host telephone town hall on March 26

Sixth Legislative District residents are encouraged to participate in an upcoming telephone town hall hosted by their legislators, Sen. Jeff Holy and Reps. Mike Volz and Jenny Graham.

The hour-long community conversation will take place Tuesday, March 26 at 6 p.m.

Only households with landlines will receive a phone call, so residents wanting to participate via cell phone or from somewhere other than their home may call (509) 795-2166 at the time of the event.

“We've seen some good bills and plenty of concerning bills so far this legislative session,” said Volz, R-Spokane. “In order to best represent our constituents on these issues, it's important we have an open channel of communication. That's why telephone town halls are so beneficial, so the people of the 6th District can directly engage with us about the issues facing our communities and state. I look forward to the productive conversation.”

“As the newest member of the 6th Legislative District I'm excited to join my colleagues in this opportunity to hear from our constituents,” said Graham, R-Spokane. “The issues we deal with in Olympia have a direct impact on our citizens.  I'm looking forward to a lively discussion.”

“Telephone town halls are a great opportunity for us to connect with our constituents and give them an update on what is going on during the legislative session,” said Holy, R-Spokane. “It is also important for us to hear what issues are important so we can be an effective voice for the people we serve.”
